What is the CDMP?
The CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) is the leading global certification for data management professionals, awarded by DAMA International (Data Management Association International) — the independent, vendor-neutral body behind the data management profession.
It validates your knowledge across the disciplines defined in the DAMA-DMBOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge) — the recognized industry reference for how data is governed, modeled, stored, secured, and put to use. Rather than testing a single tool or vendor, it certifies your command of the field as a whole.

An intensive online bootcamp — offered as a 3-day weekday course or a 2-day weekend intensive — that prepares you to pass the DAMA (Data Management Association International) CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) exam with confidence. Based on the DAMA-DMBOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge) framework and two decades of hands-on data management experience.

Frequently asked questions
Can I attend as an individual, or is this only for companies?
Both are welcome. Many participants join as individuals investing in their own certification and career, and others are sponsored by their employer or attend as a team. When you apply, you can simply indicate whether you're joining as an individual or on behalf of a company.
How does payment work?
After you apply, I'll be in touch to confirm your place and share the payment details. Prices are shown excluding VAT, and payment is by invoice. Places are limited to a maximum of 10 and confirmed on a first-come basis.
What happens if I don't pass the exam?
The bootcamp is designed to prepare you to pass the Data Management Fundamentals exam on your first attempt. The exam itself is administered independently by DAMA International. If you don't reach your target score, DAMA's own retake policy applies — you can re-enrol and re-sit the exam for a separate fee.
Is the CDMP exam open book?
Yes. The Data Management Fundamentals exam is open book — you may use the DAMA-DMBOK during the exam. The training shows you how to navigate it efficiently under time pressure.
How many questions are on the CDMP exam, and how long is it?
The exam has 100 multiple-choice questions with a 90-minute limit. Non-native English speakers can request the ESL extension, which gives 110 minutes in total.
What score do I need to pass?
A score of 60% or higher earns the Associate level. 70%+ counts toward Practitioner and 80%+ toward Master, both of which also require specialist exams and relevant experience.
What topics does the CDMP exam cover?
The exam covers 14 topics: the 11 DMBOK knowledge areas plus Data Management Process, Data Ethics, and Big Data. Each topic is weighted by importance, and the training prioritizes the high-weight areas.
Do I need prior experience to take the training?
No prior certification is required. The bootcamp suits data practitioners who want to map hands-on experience onto the DMBOK framework, as well as those newer to formal data management.
Is the training delivered online or in person?
Open cohorts run live online over three days (09:00–17:00 CET) via Microsoft Teams. For teams, in-house training is available on-site across Europe and Türkiye, or online.
Is the CDMP exam included in the bootcamp?
Yes. CDMP exam registration is included, along with your own copy of the DAMA-DMBOK2 Revised Edition (PDF), course materials, practice questions, and a reading guide.
